Resurrection Lutheran Academy

NLSA Logo-
RLA is planted, nur- tured and growing by the Cross. It has a Christ-centered learning  environ- ment and strives  for academic excel- lence, cultivating a life-time of spiritual growth and service to God and to others

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

Resurrection Lutheran School is accredited by NLSA.  It successfully completed the rigorous national accrediting process designed to evaluate schools based on their unique purpose as a Lutheran school. This process helps schools to evaluate the  quality of their academics and programs on an ongoing basis. It also helps to improve the spiritual dimension of the school.

Resurrection Lutheran Academy and Preschool is owned and operated by the Michiana Lutheran Education Association, Inc. (MLEA). MLEA operates under the doctrine and practices of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, with its membership open to all Lutheran congregations in the greater South Bend area.  Through MLEA, Resurrection Lutheran Academy provides a Christ-centered Lutheran education for families in the community.

RLA admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, admissions, policies, scholarship and athletic and other school- administered programs.

Come and discover what RLA can offer to your child.  Some say RLA is the “Best kept secret in South Bend.” Find out why! Call (574) 272-2200 for an appointment with Principal Walt Mischnick.

Students Returning to RLA For the 2012-13 School Year

FastDirect offers a new option button in a red box near the bottom of your home page for parents to indicate if their child will be returning for the 2012-13 school year. There are still some bugs in their system for grade assignment, especially for Preschool students. Those grade assignments will need to be cleared up over the summer months. In previous years, we have required a new paper application form and a $50 application fee be submitted for each returning student. At the request of a number of parents, Mr. Mischnick has agreed to allow parents who have not yet applied, to use the FastDirect submit button in place of the paper application process. We still need the $50 application fee to be submitted before the application process
will be considered complete for each student. Please double check all information in FastDirect to make sure it is correct and complete. If your child is in Preschool and you choose to use the FastDirect submit button instead of a paper application, please send us a FastDirect email to let us know the returning grade level. Please complete your application process as soon as possible to allow the school board to make plans for the new school year.
