Resurrection Lutheran Academy to Break Ground on Major Expansion Project

SOUTH BEND, IN – October 6, 2025 - Resurrection Lutheran Academy (RLA) is pleased to announce its upcoming groundbreaking and blessing ceremony for its expansion project. The event will take place on October 29, 2025, at 4:00 pm at RLA's campus located at 6840 Nimtz Parkway, South Bend, IN 46628.
The expansion project, part of RLA's "Growing the Saints" initiative that kicked off in the spring of 2025, aims to accommodate increasing enrollment and enhance the educational facilities of Resurrection Lutheran Academy. The project includes adding 12,000 square feet of new space, which will provide separate classrooms for individual grades, a resource room, music room, teachers' lounge, and cafeteria, as well as additional bathroom facilities.
Currently operating at capacity with 120 students expected in the upcoming year, RLA's expansion is both a necessity and a divine calling to continue providing Christ-centered education and serving the growing community. The total project cost is estimated at $3.5 million, with $1.9 million already pledged by the school board and various donors. RLA has successfully raised the necessary funds to break ground on the expansion project, and with the additional support, the new wing is expected to be ready to welcome students in the fall of 2026.
